HOLT plans new action as LU announces closures

Despite ongoing negotiations with RMT and other unions, and despite obvious public opposition, London Underground are determined to press ahead with their plan to cut nearly 1,000 jobs and close all ticket offices on the Tube by the end of 2015.Hands Off London Transport activists recently met with the RMT London Transport Regional Executive to discuss how we can work together and strengthen the public campaign to resist cuts and closures.

HOLT activists and RMT reps plans demonstrations at Ladbroke Grove, Edgware Road, and North Harrow, all stations threatened with staffing cuts of up to 50%, and at Shepherd’s Bush, where there are rumours of plans to turn the ticket office into a Tesco.
