A group of student activists from various colleges in London, including student supporters of HOLT, are mobilising to support Tube workers’ picket lines.
Show your support for the RMT strikes: come and help out at the picket lines at Elephant and Castle – Tuesday lunchtime from 12:30!
Student activists and other supporters of the RMT’s strike to save jobs and services on the Underground will be rallying at the Elephant and Castle picket lines from 12:30 on Tuesday, to make noise, play music, help maintain the picket line and give the strike more visibility. Bring anything loud – and food!
This strike is a vital step in stopping management’s decimation of jobs and services on the tube. London Underground managers are determined to cut jobs, impose pay cuts, re-structure the service in a way that increases strain on staff, and close the ticket offices which are a vital help for passengers, especially passengers with disabilities. Save the tube as a good, public service for everyone; save jobs and pay – get yourself to the picket line!
Time: 12:30 Tuesday 29 April
Where: Meet at Elephant and Castle Tube Station at 12:30, and we’ll head to the train depot on London Road (round the corner from Elephant & Castle tube station) at around 12:45.
